Who We Are
"Hello, hello! I don't know why you say goodbye I say hello!" A little bit about me:
Hi guys! I'm Pari, I'm a ninth grader and I'm the founder of Lemon Aid. Fancy seeing you all here! If you know me, you know I love music from the 50s-90s, especially rock and grunge. (My top three bands are The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and Queen.) I am a pacifist and many of my friends call me a hippie. (They aren't wrong by the way.) Besides all of that, I love to help people, and I like to give back in various ways. I also like to spread social and political awareness amongst my peers, so when we are adults, we are actually responsible and not "sheep" blindly following the hypnotic spell of the media.
I'm pretty big into activism, and charity. I look up to several activists such as Martin Luther King Jr., Malala Yousafzai, Malcolm X, Bob Geldof, etc. Bob Geldof was actually the reason why I named this fundraiser "Lemon Aid" due to his charity concert "Live Aid." My love for history has driven me to make my little corner of the world a better place. Perhaps someday, I will be able to change the world, but for now I will try and spread kindness and connection through one glass of "Lemon Aid" at a time.

"Friends Will Be Friends, right till the end:" My Mom & Dad
My two pillars in this world are my mom and dad, Pritha Lal and Indraneel Sarkar. Both of them are there for me in their own unique ways, and they both work very hard to make Lemon Aid happen. Without them, this fundraiser would not thrive the way it does, and nor would it exist.
My dad is the one who does the heavy lifting for my lemonade stand. He puts up the banners, and posters outside our house so people know about the event. He also is the one who tries to find organizations that Microsoft can match on the funds. He works as a software engineer and an architect at Microsoft.
My mom is a Certified Life Coach and owns her own business, Be The Sequoia Coaching, LLC. She is the one who publicizes, and posts about my lemonade stand through her social media handles. She is the one who had the idea to make this website so people could get to know about us better. She also makes amazing lemonade ;).
"Us and Them, and after all we're only ordinary men:" My World
I am very passionate about art, and music. I play piano, violin, and guitar and I have two little synthesizers as well. I love to create art, and I love exploring different ways of expressing myself when I create my crafts. I also learn an Indian Classical dance form called Kathak, and express myself through dancing as well.
As I get older, I want to be a peace activist and spread awareness through my art and music. I want people to live in a world filled with equity and equality. I want humanity to help make this world better. Lemon Aid is all about helping people. After all, we are more alike than different.
We do not keep any of the money that we raise. We give it all away to the organization(s) we donate too. If you're still reading this, thank you. I am very grateful you did. Okay, bye :D.
