Music Album Inspired Bracelets

For  this year’s craft, I decided to make beaded bracelets inspired by the music albums I love. By looking at the color schemes of 20 different albums, and with the help from my mom, grandma (who is making a special visit from India), and dad, we've created 200+ handmade bracelets for this year’s Lemon Aid stand.

Music  has always been a big part or my life, my favorite genres being rock  and grunge. So I thought, why not do something inspired by my favorite  bands and music artists? With that idea in mind, I began wondering what I could do to incorporate music into my craft.

While  scrolling on Pinterest one day, I found a bracelet that was inspired by  Rubber Soul (the sixth studio album by my favorite band, The Beatles).  This gave me the idea of making music album themed bracelets. What’s so great about them, is that you don’t necessarily need to be a fan of the band/artist or album to wear these bracelets. You could also just wear it for the color scheme.

My mom also had the idea of making other assorted bracelets that weren't album themed. These bracelets were made for younger kids, and for people who perhaps didn't want an album themed bracelet.

Who We Are Donating To This Year: Saprea

Everything that I earn from the stand, I donate to a specific organization(s). This year, I decided to donate 100% of the proceeds to Saprea.

"Saprea is the nonprofit known for using proven, practical methods for confronting and overcoming child sexual abuse. With clinically proven  tools and resources, we empower survivors, parents, and community members with the knowledge they need to protect, heal, and put a stop to  child sexual abuse."
