Now that Covid was finally over, we were back under our cherry, and pear trees to serve lemonade! (Minty fresh lemonade, by the way.) After donating to the Springville Police Department twice, I decided to donate to the Fire Department this time. We also added something new: We decided to sell some kind of craft along with the lemonade. This was inspired by the rocks that we made last year. This year I made rubber band bracelets to sell.
I was able to collect $990 thanks to my community and the Fire Department! They heard about the lemonade stand and they decided to make a visit, and get some lemonade. They let me see the inside of their truck, and they let me test out the fire hose. It was great! The bracelets were also much appreciated by fellow customers.
I donated to the Springville Fire Department, and I was interviewed and featured on the news! The chief and the Fire Department gave me some gifts as a token of appreciation. The department decided to use the money to help upgrade their living quarters. They also drove me home in their firetruck after the interview. They were so kind and I am very grateful to them for everything they do.
