When I paint or create my art pieces, I have three main categories: Psychedelic Illustrations, B&W, and Horror.
Psychedelic Illustrations are a type of surrealism. It usually has very bright, vivid colors with interesting contrasts to make eye-catching art pieces. This style was very popular in the '60s and '70s during the counter-culture (hippie) movement. After I create a psychedelic illustration, I like to outline everything with a black pen to give a bold, radiant look to my art piece.
B&W is when there are only two colors used in an art piece: Black and White. These two colors make a very striking combination when it comes to painting. When I make a B&W art piece, I use a pencil to outline anything I want to stay white, and I make everything else black resulting in a very prominent, dramatic looking canvas.
Horror Art is also considered a type of surrealism. It uses distorted and exaggerated proportions to give an uneasy feeling. Many times, artists will use dark colors, and very dramatic lighting to give the art piece a rather stark appearance. When I create my horror art pieces, I do it in two different ways: With paint, or only pen. Only pen, means that I don't use any pencil, or paint. I simply use a pen to create what I desire.
I really love modern art, and I am inspired by how art can tell the story of society and societal changes. I look up to artists such as Andy Warhol, Bansky, Peter Max, Heinz Edelmann, Milton Glaser, and more recently, Gerald Scarfe. When I paint, I try to paint from the heart, so my artwork is true and can capture one's feelings. Every piece is different, and has its own unique quirkiness.
