Cause
This year, I had planned to donate to Ukraine. However, after the school shooting that happened in Uvalde we decided to donate to the families there as well. This is what created our slogan "U, U, and YOU!" Ukraine, Uvalde, and You. My crafts this year were handmade plaques with motivational quotes on them.
Collection
Friends, teachers, neighbors, and even complete strangers donated to help this fundraiser. My mom was the one who ordered the plaques and she helped me find some good quotes. She also got the little jewel stickers that I stuck onto the plaques. I was able to raise $1,500 and my dad (who works at Microsoft) was able to match that money so it was doubled to $3,300. This way I would be able to donate an equal amount to Ukraine and Uvalde.
Organization
The two organizations that we donated to were Save the Children Federation Inc, for Help Save Children in Ukraine, and Victim First Inc, for Uvalde. My dad found both of these organizations and we were very happy we could donate to these places.
